Fine Art Care and Maintenance

We want every collector to feel confident when purchasing from Tommy's Print Shop. Below you’ll find helpful information how to care and maintain your fine art pieces. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at studio@tommylei.com.
Caring for Framed Painted Photographs Plus
  • Dust occasionally with a clean, dry microfiber cloth.
  • Do not use water, sprays, or chemical cleaners.
  • Hang away from direct sunlight, high humidity, and fluctuating temperatures.
  • Ensure frames are fitted securely but allow the canvas to breathe.
Caring for Archival Prints Plus

To protect any unframed archival print, we recommend keeping unframed prints sealed until they are ready for professional framing. This prevents mishandling and preserves their archival quality.

  • Handle only with clean, dry hands or cotton gloves.
  • Keep sealed until taken directly to a professional framer.
  • Use archival mat board and UV-protective acrylic or museum glass.
  • Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, and damp environments.

If you need further guidance on caring for or handling your piece, we are always happy to assist. Please reach out at studio@tommylei.com.
